More stuff

More of what has been happening.
Last week was cool.
Role playing Monday night, we went well. None of us died though Matt's character was issued the smack down by a rather large and angry Ogre.
Bible study tuesday night went well with our follow up study from judging others, which was on rebuking. We talked about how we are called to rebuke and how in doing that you are actually loving the person. All rebuke should be done with much thought, prayer and love.
Wednesday was a suprise adventure with Emily to visit my Dad and step-mum. Both of by bro's were there and their girlfriends. It was nice for Emily to meet some of the family. It went quite well.
Saturday night was Susan's 21st. It was upstairs in the function room of the Balgownie pub. There was some really nice food floating around (including salt and pepper squid - a personal favourite). There was also a bar tab for beer wine and softdrinks which was cool.

Church on Sunday was really good too with Lionel doing a really good sermon from Matthew.
And now, the week till now!...
Monday was good with some more role playing. This time it was my characters turn to spend some time dying on the floor (actually I think it was his bed - a bad guy came through the window and smacked me one. That combined to a accidental attack from Mark's character had me unconsious). Once Mark had actually landed some blows on the bad guy, they healed me up. All good.
Tuesday was bible study and Eltham did a topical on Hell which was interesting. We talked about what the stereotypical ideas of hell were and then looked at a stack of bible verses looking at the words used of hell such as 'hades' and other ones, one of which meant similar to the rubbish dump outside the city. Quite good. The only down side was that we ran overtime, substantially. Not so bad though.
Yesterday I managed a good find of 2 xbox games for $50 at EB games. I got the simpsons hit and run and Mechassault 2. Both are quite new and the sticker prices added up to $120, so to get them for $50 was a good deal in my mind.
Today I am at work... not so bad considering that in 4 hours I will have 10 days off work. Pretty happy about that!:)

The week gone.

Well, it has been a busy week!
Monday Emily and I went to visit Morgan with Jon and Morwenna. He has been moved to Coledale hospital and it is soo much better. The hospital is new and clean and nice. He has an electric wheelchair and can go outside onto the carpark and has an awesome view of the ocean. The air is really nice there too. He was happy to see us and it was really good to see him. Jon and Morwenna bought him a really nice bunch of sunflowers.
After that, Emily and I went to her house for dinner via woolies. Good stuff.

Tuesday was bible study. We looked at judging others. We started with getting a good doctrine of sin happening, then looked at how God appointed judges in the OT. We then looked at how God is THE judge. The we looked at how we are not to judge. In light of all that looked at how we are however called to be discerning and rebuke in love if required. This week's study is on the rebuking in love part. What is appropriate to do, who does it, etc etc. Should be good.

Wednesday was unimovies. We saw Munich which was pretty full on. It made me sad that people would do that to each other and put into view more of how sinful this world is and how blessed by God I am to live in Australia in 2006. Thanks God.

Thursday night Emily and I went to the Beachhouse seafood restaraunt. I would normally not have gone but one of our clients from work said that I should come along and he would pay for my meal. He is the Licencee there. The food was brilliant. Probably the best meal I have ever had. Easily the most expensive. But thankfully that was sorted out. Quite a nice night. Emily and I were going to go and study the bible and pray together but we ended up running out of time after I picked up some golf clubs for Friday's work golf day.

Friday was our annual work golf day. Good fun. I was picked up at 6:15 in the morning and we went up to Maddens Plains to the golf club there. Work put on bacon and egg rolls for breakfast, paid for the green fees, unlimited drinks all day and a BBQ lunch. Good stuff. That afternoon I ended up having a inspection in the afternoon and then went home for a sleep! After that Emily and I went to friends house to watch a movie and eat some pizza. Quite good. The movie we got was 'the 40 year old virgin' recommended by her brother. The movie was pretty ordinary unfortunately. Funny in a few places, but also a bit unnecessarily crude in alot of places.

Saturday day we had our church social group event. We were going to go to the beach but it was windy and rained so we went to the minister's house for board games and chatting. That was good too. I broke in my new poker set and we played 5 card texas holdem. Lots of fun. Saturday night was Hannah's 21st. The dress up theme was 'uncool but culture'. There were a few nerds. I came as a live action role player. Pretty fun but I was tired so didnt get into it as much as I should.

Sunday was a good sabbath! Chilled out at home, did the washing, did some woodwork, wrote most of Tuesday's bible study and generally relaxed and chilled out. Sunday night was church. An awesome evangelistic sermon by Sandy on the Gospel. Had to leave straight after because Emily's friend was having a 21st. We caught up with her and hung out for a couple of hours. Pretty fun. She is a bit of a character!

Man, what a week! Full on. But really good. Thanks heaps to God.
