YO WHAT UP G!!!!
Man, work is pretty full on. Since 2.5 weeks ago it has been flat out and doesn't really look like letting up much. I thought I would just take a sec or two to write this quick post before going back to work. The boss is away on holidays until early next week and so I have had lots to do.
The last 2 days I have been able to drive to Menangle and Otford for site inspections. That was quite fun. Also, I have been able to go on a whole pile of other site inspections as well which have been good. I have probably averaged about 3 a day which is quite high. One advantage of that is that since the boss is away I have to use my own car. This is good because work reimburses my km's at about 60c/km. So, in the last few weeks I have done 350km for work so I will have extra money in the account on Thursday arvo which is always good. Funnily enough, I will proably spend the money getting the car serviced but since I had to do that anyway, it's better if work essentially paid for it.
MYC was awesome. Not that I was able to be there the whole time, but the time I was there was great. I drove up on Sunday morning for pre-MYC with Steve Bell and Saru. the trip up was good with music by J and Saru (we listened to the CD they made for the bob eviction party). This year MYC was on the topic of ministry. The talk I did hear, and the seminars I did were quite helpful. Also, it was cool to seek to look after people as well. I felt that since I was only there for a small amount of time, I would try my best to look after people. I think approaching MYC that way was really helpful. I guess there could be some kind of sermon illustration in regards to the time being short and needing to focus on proclaiming God's word.
I have been keen to get into woodwork since the start of the year when I bought a book on it. Thanks to the dudes and dad I have a quite good set of tools now. So, on Monday night I made a workbench. Yaay. Now I dont have to saw things sitting on the ground. Now I can get to making the TV stand (I have an old TV as my TV stand atm) and speaker stand/dvd storage things. The benefit of making things is that I can make sure I have enough space to fit things. I can also add some special modifications if I want.
More thanks to God for blessing me heaps with all sorts of blessings.
